Body
The body is the structure of a human being, which includes a variety of cells that form different kinds of tissue and other bodily materials. These tissues, bones, skin, and organs all work together to maintain homeostasis, which is an equilibrium between the different parts of the body, allowing a person to live healthily.
The human body includes a head and neck, a trunk which connects the abdomen to the thorax, as well as extremities that include the hands and arms, and the legs and feet.
As a result of the thousands of biological processes that go on in the body at every moment, many things can go wrong. The body can suffer from medical conditions that are caused by trauma and external factors, or diseases that are inherited in the form of a genetic defect. The study of the human body is both physical and mental, and our understanding of the body is always improving.
