WHO IS ABBEY CHECHE

 

Abiodun Owokoya popularly known as Abbey Cheche is a US-based talented, vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic young man. Abbey was born in Southwestern part of Nigeria, precisely Maryland, Lagos. He went to St. Agnes primary school, Maryland for his elementary education. Afterwards, he moved on to Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School and obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate. Later on, he proceeded to Yaba College of Technology where he obtained his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Business Administration.

Being a success-driven guy who never rest on his ores, Abiodun traveled out of the country to United States of America where he continued his education by gaining admission to BOWIE STATE UNIVERSITY (BSU) to study Accounting. Abbey, a lover of knowledge and a versatile individual, proceeded to WEST GOVERNOR UNIVERSITY, after graduating at BSU, to study Cloud Engineering for his second Bachelor’s degree.

WORK HISTORY

Abbey has served in different capacity during his professional career. He was one of the talented engineers that built the physical servers that was sent out for Unemployment Insurance in all the fifty (50) states in the United States including US territories such as Potorico, Virgin Island and Guwam; Abbey served on this project under US Department of Labor. He has also provided technological supports for US Department of Patent office, US Department of Commerce, US Department of Homeland Security, US Department of Center for Medicare and Medicaid, US Department of General Accountability Office and the US Senate.

TALENT

Aside being a professional engineer, Abbey is talented in music. He has played music professionally at different international concerts. He is a renowned Sax play (Saxophonist). He has played on same stage with both local and international artists such as Femi Kuti, Dede Mabiaku, Oyenka Owenu, D’Banj and the likes. He has also traveled around the world to perform in different festivals where he shared the stage with international artists such as Michael Bolton, Rihanna, Black Eyedpeas, Ron kenoly and Don Moen.

POLITICAL
Abiodun has been a lover of politics since his young age. His early participation in politics dated back to the days of Social Democratic Party (SDP) when he was just an errand boy learning the rudiments of politics. Abbey was one of the band boys (Brigade Boys) during Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (Asiwaju) campaign trail for his first term as the Governor of Lagos State. He also served as a Band Boy when Late Senator Bayo Osinowo was running as a candidate for Lagos State House of Assembly in the year 2003, and he was fully involved in his campaign trail during his Senatorial campaign in 2019. In a nutshell, Abbey has been so supportive to his political party, All Progressives Congress, APC by contributing to the party needs within his ward and his constituency at large. His participation to the progressives and ruling party, APC, cannot be over-emphasized.
